Korea shared one of its best with the U.S.
I get to reap the benefits of Korea's sharing in the form of a friendship with a gemstone named Katie.
She was adopted by an American family when she was a baby,
and we went to the same college.
She wanted to spend some time in the place that she came from,
so she taught English in Korea for a year, and just recently got back.
A weekend visit was paid to my home.
We giggled like little school girls, watched my cat kill a squirrel, talked about the important parts of life, walked the farm, watched the Oscars, and ate like men.
